HST (Lift and Slide) patio doors are a solution appreciated by architects and can now be found in the designs of many interesting houses. Thanks to them, any house becomes light, free of architectural barriers, close to nature, and at the same time comfortable, warm and safe.
HST lift-and-slide doors allow you to design the room freely and save space. This solution allows very large areas to be glazed with maximum light and minimum obstructions to the view. A comfortable connection between the inside of the house and the terrace and an unobstructed panoramic view.
excellent design
possibility of glazing large areas
quality and durability for many years
wide range of options for adapting and expanding the system
Large, unobstructed spaces and monumental, large-size glazing: the perfect duo that has been celebrating real triumphs of design popularity for several seasons, guaranteeing the delight of guests and the satisfaction of household members. However, to be effective and impressive, the HST sliding door, which plays the role of a specific all-glass wall, must meet a number of strict requirements, especially if the project is part of the passive or energy-efficient building trend. This is because, when constructing a green and energy-efficient building, we have to take into account a number of standards relating to energy efficiency, economic use and the construction itself, which should also reflect the best of modern design and contemporary art. This is where the HST ULTRAGLIDE lift and slide door comes in!
HST ULTRAGLIDE – a solution full of advantages
What distinguishes the HST sliding window from other solutions is its exceptionally high thermal insulation properties and innovative technological solutions that allow the product to be adapted to different investor expectations – from functionality and safety issues to dimensions and visual effect. Thanks to its parameters, the UlLTRAGLIDE aluminium sliding terrace window can be used to create structures with large opening wings, allowing an unimaginable amount of natural light to enter the interior. This will not only bring out the unique splendour of the interior design, but will also contribute to the well-being and energy of the occupants, especially during the long autumn and winter evenings. The use of HST sliding doors between the living room and terrace adds to the sense of spaciousness and modernity. The glass wall provides fantastic views, while the façade is incredibly light, chic and original. In addition, HST sliding windows facilitate communication, connecting the house with the veranda, terrace or garden.

Standard glazing package
Our doors are equipped with a tripe plane glass that is connected by three spacing frames, two of which are covered with Low-E coatings
The glass type strongly depends on the measurements of the whole door configuration. Please have a look at examples:

Safety glass
For an extra charge we have in our offer a safety glass option.
The safety glass consists of two glass panes joined together with a laminated PVB foil. This solution is used in for instance the windscreens of passenger cars because of its shatterproof function and strength. Additionally, it provides better sound insulation.
Sample glass package with a safety glass:
VSG 33.1 LE/ 18 Ar/4mm/18 Ar/4mm LE
P4 glass – increased resistance to damage / burglary
P4 glass type with higher resistance to damage e.g. VSG 44.4 where glass panes are connected with 4 layers of protective foils.
The strength of P4 glass is confirmed in laboratory tests. During the tests, the glass must withstand a three-time impact with a 4.11 kg steel ball dropped from a height of 9 m. This type of glass is characterised by the highest resistance to manual attack for instance with a hammer weighing several kilograms.

Warm spacer frames
A spacer frame is the basic element of joining the space between the panes in a glass. It is normally filled with 90% argon which is a non-toxic, insulating dense type of gas and 10% air. It allows to obtain a heat transfer coefficient of up to Ug = 0.4 W/m²K.
Warm, Swisspacer Ultimate spacers (available in 6 colors) are used as standard in our glazed units. They are recommended for energy-saving construction thanks to a significant reduction in the heat transfer coefficient. Due to the extremely thin gaps between the panes Krypton is used which is a gas that performs best as an insulator when used in such configurations.
There is a huge range of choices in glazing, for instance: energy-saving, sound-absorbing, safety, anti-burglary and solar glass.
Solar glass
This category includes several types of special-purpose glazing designed to reduce the effect of the sun in interiors – both in terms of heat transfer and excessive light penetration. The most common solutions are milk glass, glass with one-way mirror effect as well as bronze reflex glass.
Thermal insulating glass – energy efficient
This type of glazing is designed to provide the best possible thermal insulation of a room, which is especially important in temperate climates, where there are significant temperature differences between seasons. Thermal insulating glazing is covered with an extremely thin layer of precious metals, so in winter it minimizes heat loss from the room, while in summer it prevents excessive heating.
Sound-absorbing glazing
Sound-absorbing glazing provides excellent sound insulation along with comfort for people in rooms whose windows face, for example, busy streets (low-frequency sounds) or children’s playgrounds (high-frequency sounds). The effect of sound-absorbing glass is related to the thickness of the glass – the thicker the glass, the better it protects against outside noise. Such glazing can be made of ordinary glass, tempered glass or laminated glass with a film. The space between the layers of glass is filled with heavy gases.
Safety glass
Safety glass is usually layered glass or glass made of laminated or tempered glass that does not shatter into small fragments when broken. This type of glazing primarily provides protection against injury from glass shards.
Anti-burglary glass
Burglar-proof glass, as the name suggests, protects windows from a burglary. Mostly they are layered glass, made of two layers of glass and between 2 to 4 layers of PVB film. The film strengthens the structure of the glass – the more layers of film, the more resistant the glass is to mechanical damage. We can divide anti-burglary glass into 8 classes: P1A, P2A, P3A, P4A, P5A, P6B, P7B and P8B. The strength of glazing in each class varies significantly. For example, according to the standard, glazing of the P3A class can replace the grid made of Ø10 steel wire, with meshes up to 150 mm, while glazing of the P8B class replaces the grid made of steel bars with diameters up to Ø16.

Get to know the process of production of wood-like structures:
Decoral system has a wide range of colors: the coatings allow you to get surfaces that imitate not only wood but also marble, granite and any other colors and patterns. Wood colour process technology allows coating profiles, bent profiles and aluminum sheets.
The hardware system we use offers a wide range of design possibilities and allows us to easily meet a variety of design requirements. For example, we can match handles and covers and choose from a wide range of standard colours: silver, antique gold.
In addition, the system’s components combine space-saving convenience with ease of use. Even large tilt-and-slide patio doors are easy to open and close.
