Advantages of the system

  • excellent thermal properties
  • strength and durability
  • aesthetics
  • variety of colours

Excellent thermal properties

The exemplary window in the MB-86 system, using triple glazing with a thermal transmittance of Ug=0.5 W/m2k, achieves a coefficient Uw=0.72 W/m2K, therefore, it can be successfully used in energy-efficient construction. The MB-86 window and door system uses a wide and two-component central gasket which increases the thermal and acoustic properties of the construction. MB-86 is the warmest system to use in energy-efficient construction.

excellent acoustics

Windows in the MB-86 system are standardly equipped with an additional, wide, two-part central gasket, improving the acoustic properties of the construction. Triple glazed windows with very good acoustic parameters min. 40 dB will reduce the noise from the outside.

Strength and durability

Excellent strength and durability of the MB-86 system allows to create enormous constructions with massive glazing. Doors up to a height of 3 meters blend in very well with the trends of modern architecture, without having to accept compromises.

Our inward opening windows are manufactured using the best available aluminum systems.

The most popular system in our offer for the production of outward opening windows is Aluprof MB 86.
We also work on: Aluprof (MB 79, MB 86, MB 104 Passive), Reynaers (Slimline 38, MasterLine 8, MasterLine 10), Aliplast (Genesis 75, Superial, Imperial).

Standard glazing package

Our doors are equipped with a tripe plane glass that is connected by three spacing frames, two of which are covered with Low-E coatings

The glass type strongly depends on the measurements of the whole door configuration. Please have a look at examples:

  • 4LE/18Ar/4/18Ar/4LE
  • 4th/16Ar/4/16Ar/4th

Safety glass

For an extra charge we have in our offer a safety glass option.

The safety glass consists of two glass panes joined together with a laminated PVB foil. This solution is used in for instance the windscreens of passenger cars because of its shatterproof function and strength. Additionally, it provides better sound insulation.

Sample glass package with a safety glass:

  • VSG 33.1 LE/ 18 Ar/4mm/18 Ar/4mm LE

P4 glass – increased resistance to damage / burglary

P4 glass type with higher resistance to damage e.g. VSG 44.4 where glass panes are connected with 4 layers of protective foils.

The strength of P4 glass is confirmed in laboratory tests. During the tests, the glass must withstand a three-time impact with a 4.11 kg steel ball dropped from a height of 9 m. This type of glass is characterised by the highest resistance to manual attack for instance with a hammer weighing several kilograms.

Warm spacer frames

A spacer frame is the basic element of joining the space between the panes in a glass. It is normally filled with 90% argon which is a non-toxic, insulating dense type of gas and 10% air. It allows to obtain a heat transfer coefficient of up to Ug = 0.4 W/m²K.

Warm, Swisspacer Ultimate spacers (available in 6 colors) are used as standard in our glazed units. They are recommended for energy-saving construction thanks to a significant reduction in the heat transfer coefficient. Due to the extremely thin gaps between the panes Krypton is used which is a gas that performs best as an insulator when used in such configurations.

There is a huge range of choices in glazing, for instance: energy-saving, sound-absorbing, safety, anti-burglary and solar glass.

Solar glass
This category includes several types of special-purpose glazing designed to reduce the effect of the sun in interiors – both in terms of heat transfer and excessive light penetration. The most common solutions are milk glass, glass with one-way mirror effect as well as bronze reflex glass.

Thermal insulating glass – energy efficient
This type of glazing is designed to provide the best possible thermal insulation of a room, which is especially important in temperate climates, where there are significant temperature differences between seasons. Thermal insulating glazing is covered with an extremely thin layer of precious metals, so in winter it minimizes heat loss from the room, while in summer it prevents excessive heating.

Sound-absorbing glazing
Sound-absorbing glazing provides excellent sound insulation along with comfort for people in rooms whose windows face, for example, busy streets (low-frequency sounds) or children’s playgrounds (high-frequency sounds). The effect of sound-absorbing glass is related to the thickness of the glass – the thicker the glass, the better it protects against outside noise. Such glazing can be made of ordinary glass, tempered glass or laminated glass with a film. The space between the layers of glass is filled with heavy gases.

Safety glass
Safety glass is usually layered glass or glass made of laminated or tempered glass that does not shatter into small fragments when broken. This type of glazing primarily provides protection against injury from glass shards.

Anti-burglary glass
Burglar-proof glass, as the name suggests, protects windows from a burglary. Mostly they are layered glass, made of two layers of glass and between 2 to 4 layers of PVB film. The film strengthens the structure of the glass – the more layers of film, the more resistant the glass is to mechanical damage. We can divide anti-burglary glass into 8 classes: P1A, P2A, P3A, P4A, P5A, P6B, P7B and P8B. The strength of glazing in each class varies significantly. For example, according to the standard, glazing of the P3A class can replace the grid made of Ø10 steel wire, with meshes up to 150 mm, while glazing of the P8B class replaces the grid made of steel bars with diameters up to Ø16.

Horizon handles

Sobinco handles from the Horizon line are made of the highest quality materials. They are available in anodized (aluminum oxide coating) and on request they can be powder coated in the colour of the door (the whole range of RAL colours).

These elegant handles have an outstanding design that will emphasise the appearance of any door.
Handles from the Touch line can be used both in doors as well as aluminum windows, HST lift-and-slide systems constructed on the basis of Aluprof systems. It provides visual consistency of all elements of window and door joinery.

Classic line handles

Classic handles – are standard handled mounted on our bifold doors. They are made of the highest quality aluminum. They are available in inox (stainless steel colour) and on request powder coated in the colour of the door. The vast array of handles fits perfectly with folding doors, sliding doors and windows built on Aluprof systems.

ActivPilot hardware:

WinkHaus’ aktivPilot hardware is used as standard on our windows. Strikers and locking elements in the shape of octagonal mushrooms ensure an adequate level of security against a burglary. It is important that the strikers are mounted to the steel that reinforces the frame. The level of anti-burglary protection depends on the number of strikers used. All strikers used in our windows are security strikes that significantly affect the security.

COMFORT hardware – optional

The AktivPilot Comfort hardware in addition to the turn and tilt function has an option of parallel lifting the sash from the frame. In this position, an approx. 6-mm gap is created between the sash and the frame that allows for natural ventilation when the window is securely locked.
The air circulation is achieved by setting the window in ventilation position. This option eliminates the problem of moisture accumulation in rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and bedrooms. Thanks to optimal ventilation, excess moisture is expelled to the outside, protecting the rooms from the risk of mould or mildew, which not only damages the walls, but is also harmful to our health.
The hardware is also available in an electrically operated version – the possibility of resetting the sash by pressing the appropriate option on the control panel or using the remote control.

 Select fittings – optional

AktivPilot Select is a tilt and turn fitting that fits completely into the space under the sash rebate. Thanks to this design, the hinges are invisible when the window is closed. This solution is a great option for people who value aesthetics. It allows a free choice of window colours, whereas surface-mounted fittings limit this freedom due to the visible hinge covers, which are available in a small number of colours. In addition to its aesthetic qualities, a window with invisible hinges has better insulation parameters. The hinges are completely hidden between the sash and the frame. This avoids the formation of a thermal bridge and maintains the continuity of the seal around the perimeter of the window. ActivPilot Select has a modular design. With just two additional components, the load capacity of the hardware can be increased from the standard 100 kg to 150 kg.

Graduated tilt for RU windows

Allows independent ventilation dosage according to the season, weather or humidity in individual rooms. The tilt graduation is the part of the RU window fitting and therefore its installation does not require any interference with the profile and reinforcement. It also prevents the window from spontaneously closing due to draughts. The element is offered as standard in the ActivPilot hardware system.

Handle rotation lock

Prevents the handle from moving incorrectly thus protecting the window sash from falling off the top hinge and from possible damage to the hardware. Recommended for those who value easy, stress-free window operation. The element is offered as standard with the ActivPilot hardware system.

Balcony Latch

Convenient and aesthetically pleasing element that allows balcony doors to be closed from the outside of the house. Appreciated by those who frequently use the terrace exit. Available in a multitude of colours for all balcony doors.

ActivPilot Control window closing sensors – optional

The ActivPilot Control is a special contact striker mounted on the window frame that interacts with specially prepared hardware on the sash. They enable to monitor the position of the window, control the air conditioning and also work in conjunction with the alarm system. The ActivPilot Control locking sensors, integrated into the hardware, are discreetly concealed between the sash and the frame.

Hoppe SECUSTIK handles

Secustik handles are equipped with a locking mechanism that is an integrated basic safety device that makes it difficult to move the window hardware from the outside. At the same time, the engaging element between the handle and the bolt acts as a kind of mechanical diode. This allows the handle to be operated normally from the inside, but locks it if an attempt is made to manipulate it with the hardware from the outside. Turning the Secustik handle 180 degrees from the closed to the tilted position causes the self-locking mechanism to audibly snap into place.
